Genvoz is a website for all teenagers of color with rare, genetic disorders. As you could probably tell by now, this specific website was made to study Parkinson's Disease. But there are other websites made to study different rare genetic disorders, like the Autism team, the Vitiligo team, the Hemophilia team, and many more. You may not believe this but.... Genvoz was created by the class of 2023, while they were all in 7th grade! Imagine that: a bunch of 7th graders from Capital City Public Charter School, making a website for people all around the world to witness, a great accomplishment indeed.

But it is unknown if the medicine is safe for children to take. Also GOCOVRI is “A new way to look at defining movement control”. The side effect(s) for GOCOVRI includes:

Mode of Genetic Inheritance |
Low levels of dopamine (a brain chemical that has to do with controlling movement) is the current cause to the symptoms of Parkinson's disease (Parkinson’s Disease-Cause”). Under average levels occurs when nerve cells in a part of the brain that makes dopamine breakdown (Parkinson’s Disease-Cause”). The exact cause of this breakdown is still yet to be known (Parkinson’s Disease-Cause”).

3 Current Research Projects |
Many case studies for Parkinson’s Disease study one patient at a time to help answer clinical questions for their needs (NCBI). Some examples include:
A long-term NINDS research and planning strategy led to the NINDS-hosted January 2014 conference, “Parkinson’s Disease 2014: Advancing Research, Improving Lives,” at which neuroscientists, physicians, public and private organization representatives, and people with Parkinson’s disease discussed the highest research priorities, ranging from lab discoveries to developing new therapies for PD (“Parkinson’s Disease 2014: Advancing Research, Improving Lives,”). |
